Our natural permanent hair colours do not contain ammonia, which is traditionally used in permanent hair colours. Ammonia is used to open up the hair shaft, allowing the colour to quickly and aggressively set into the hair. The downside of ammonia is that it can dry out your hair and scalp, which can lead to irritation, itching and hair breakage. This leads to dry hair, hair breakage, split ends and some of your short hairs falling out when you brush your hair.
At NATURIGIN, we have chosen not to use ammonia, partly because it is not healthy for your hair, scalp and body, but also because it is incredibly harmful to the environment. Our natural permanent hair dyes colour the hair while nourishing and softening the hair. That's because we use argan oil, aloe vera, jojoba oil and shea butter, which are packed with nutrient-rich vitamins and minerals.

Argan oil
Helps restore moisture and soften hair, reducing frizz and dryness. Argan oil is rich in vitamin E, which strengthens hair and promotes hair growth.
Aloe vera
Nourishes and moisturises the scalp, preventing dandruff. Aloe vera maintains the scalp's natural moisture balance, resulting in softer and more manageable hair when styling.
Jojoba oil
A light and non-greasy oil that prevents hair from becoming greasy. Jojoba oil acts as a natural moisturiser for the hair, leaving it soft and shiny.
Shea butter
Protects hair from heat styling and UV rays to preserve hair colour. At the same time, shea butter is soothing if your scalp.

Frequently asked questions
Our permanent hair colours last for 6 to 8 weeks. The durability can vary greatly depending on your hair growth. If you want your hair colour to last as long as possible, we recommend using a colour protecting shampoo and conditioner to help retain your new hair colour.
Yes, you can, as our hair colours are permanent and fully opaque. However, there are some exceptions where our colour cannot be used.You should be aware that the outcome of the hair colour is generally affected by the existing colour of the hair, and therefore the colour can change depending on your starting point. The outcome is also affected by the amount of chemicals, if any, that the previous colour contained.We do not recommend using our colour on hair that has been dyed with henna. Henna often contains some salts and metals that our colour does not work with.
We therefore recommend that you wait to colour your hair until all henna colour is gone. You can also go to a hairdresser if you want a faster solution where you can apply our hair colour afterwards.
We always recommend that you perform a patch test with our hair colour before applying it to your hair. We can't promise you won't have an allergic reaction, as you may be allergic or sensitive to certain natural ingredients that we have used in the hair colour.
We see ourselves as a good alternative if you have had problems with other hair colours that have used a lot of chemicals. Unfortunately, we can't make any promises, as no two people are the same. If you have any questions or concerns about allergic reactions from our hair colour, you can always contact us by email.
Hair colouring can lift 2-3 tones. For a good result, it is therefore important to choose a colour that stays within this range. If you want to make a more drastic change, such as going from black to a very light blonde, we recommend going to the hairdresser. You can gradually dye your hair lighter so that you can eventually achieve your dream colour yourself. However, this will take time, depending on how big of a jump you want.

One box of hair colour contains enough colour for most people's needs, but if you have exceptionally long and thick hair, it's a good idea to use two boxes for one colour.
