HOW TO USE DRY SHAMPOO

Need a break between washes, but unsure of how to use dry shampoo? No worries! This blog post will give you all the steps to use dry shampoo. With 3 simple steps and an understanding of how it works with your hair type, using dry shampoo can help add volume & texture while giving you the needed breather from washing.

HOW TO APPLY DRY SHAMPOO?

At NATURIGIN, we have 3 steps to easily apply dry shampoos to give your hair a break from washing. But first, let’s talk about what dry shampoo is used for. Dry Shampoo is a quick way to refresh your hair without the traditional shampoo and water wash. This helps your hair to keep its natural oils and to stay moisturised.

STEP 1: SHAKE THE CAN

For the most effective use of dry shampoo, give your can a good shake before using it! Not only will this spread powder evenly and provide optimal product performance, but it’ll help keep clogs out so you get the maximum out of your product. When shaking the can, be sure to hold it upright and use a firm, back-and-forth motion. This will make sure that the ball inside the can isn’t stuck, which can decrease its performance. With foam dry shampoo, there is no need to shake the can since it is applied directly to the hair with your hands.

STEP 2: APPLY THE DRY SHAMPOO

Once you’ve shaken the can, it’s time to apply it to your hair. Hold the can about six inches away from your head and apply the product in short bursts, focusing on the roots and any areas where your hair feels greasy or oily. Avoid overspraying by using short bursts, and make sure to move the can around to cover all areas of your scalp.

It’s important to remember that dry shampoo is meant to absorb excess oil and impurities from your hair, not provide moisture or hydration. Applying too much can leave your hair feeling weighed down or sticky, so start with a small amount and add more if needed.

If using foam dry shampoo, spray it into your hands and apply it to the roots of your hair.

STEP 3: MASSAGE IT INTO THE ROOTS

Once you’ve applied the dry shampoo, use your fingers to massage the product into your hair, focusing on the roots. This will help to distribute the product evenly and ensure that it absorbs excess oil and impurities. Massage your scalp for about 30 seconds to a minute, using gentle circular motions.

It’s important to note that dry shampoo is not a replacement for traditional hair care like shampoo and water wash. While it can help you extend the time between washes, it’s important to still shampoo and condition your hair regularly to maintain its health and cleanliness.
